She studied Computer Science at the Technological Institute of Matamoros and a Master's degree in Regional Development at the Colegio de la Frontera Norte (COLEF). Also, she has participated in the training of teachers, pedagogical advisors and coordinators of the Science Teaching Programs in Basic Education in Mexico and Latin America.

She is currently part of the international work team of the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Education Project of the ECBI Program of the University of Chile and coordinates the Latin America project for Climate Education for INNOVEC projects.
